Real Estate Investment Trust ( REIT ) had become common in Malaysia due to its high dividend payout ratio and special tax consideration by the Malaysia Inland Revenue Board. A lot of investors like to invest in property because it can provide consistent cash flow from the monthly rental. However, traditional property investment has poor liquidity and it is not easy to turn into cash. Real Estate Investment Trust ( REIT ) is designed to provide better liquidity for property investment as it can turn into cash easily by selling the stock in the share market.
